Random Fact: The idea for "Jeopardy!" came from Merv Griffin's wife, Julann. She mentioned that there hadn't been a successful "question and answer" game on the air since the quiz show scandals of the 1950s and suggested a novel twist: "Why not give the answers to the contestants and let them come up with the questions?" NBC loved the idea and bought the show before even seeing a pilot episode.

Points are tallied at the end of the season to determine our trophy winners.
